At Sunday’s 94th Academy Awards, Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell took home the Academy Award for original song for “No Time to Die,” the title track of the latest James Bond film.

It’s the third Academy Award for music in the long-running spy saga, after Adele’s win for “Skyfall” in 2012 and Sam Smith’s for “Writing’s on the Wall” from 2015’s “Spectre.”

The song was written nearly three years ago by the two and was released in February 2020. They also performed the song during the Oscars broadcast.

It was also a clean sweep for the brother-sister duo, who had already won a Grammy and a Golden Globe, as well as Critics’ Choice and Society of Composers & Lyricists awards, for their song “No Time to Die.”

“This is so unbelievable I could scream,” Eilish said at the start of her acceptance speech. Finneas, 24, expressed gratitude to his parents, saying, “We want to thank our parents, who have always been our biggest inspirations and heroes, and we love you as parents, and we love you as real people too.”

Beyoncé, Van Morrison, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Diane Warren were all nominated for Best Original Song, but Eilish and Finneas took the win.

Billie Eilish is one of the category’s youngest winners, although not the youngest; that honor belongs to Markéta Irglová, who was 19 when “Falling Slowly” from Once won in 2008. However, Eilish and Finneas made history by being the first American composers to win Best Original Song for a Bond theme.

Eilish told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that they were given bits of the script to help them decide which themes to focus on. 

Following the completion of the demo, the siblings worked with Hans Zimmer, who produced the orchestration, and recorded the song with a 70-person orchestra. Johnny Marr played guitar in the song as well.

Sir Paul McCartney may be headlining Glastonbury this year, according to reports.

According to a music source, the 79-year-old Beatles legend will perform on the Pyramid Stage in July.

While talking with The Sun, the source said “Paul’s set will be an absolutely must-see. He is really excited for it and is determined to put on a hell of a show packed with all of the hits.”

“He is feeling really ready to get back out on the road in the US and then will be raring to tackle Glasto when he gets back.

“There was some discussion about whether he should go ahead with shows this year because of the situation with Covid, but he decided he really wants to perform.”

McCartney’s appearance on the renowned festival’s stage will come a week after his 80th birthday. This makes him the event’s oldest-ever headliner.

Paul McCartney is scheduled to perform on Saturday night after concerts by Noel Gallagher and Haim, Billie Eilish on Friday, and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday.

Among the other confirmed performers for the major weekend is the iconic Diana Ross. Ross will be performing in the Sunday afternoon Legends slot.

She was initially going to perform in the festival’s popular legends slot during the festival’s 50th-anniversary celebrations in 2020. However, the organizers postponed the event due to COVID.

According to the show’s organizer, Emily Eavis, they will announce the entire lineup next week.

Taylor Swift will not headline Glastonbury this year, despite having agreed to perform at the now-canceled 2020 event.

The pop diva, 32, reportedly “politely declined” to perform at the next event. Swift said that she is currently prioritizing the re-recording of her old albums.

Billie Eilish returned to the Saturday Night Live stage on December 11 to serve as both host and musical guest, and she nailed both roles.

Billie, who was a musical guest on the show for the first time in 2019, began with a monologue on her look and unique style, with her new brunette hair color in full display. “Mrs. Claus going to the club,” she said of her outfit, which consisted of a flouncy, oversized white Christmas dress with red piping. She went on to say of her overall style, “Some people wonder why I started wearing baggy clothes. There was actually a good reason,” she clarified. “So it wasn’t just for comfort, or for style. This is hard to say for me, but the real reason I wore big oversized clothes back then is, I was actually two kids stacked on top of each other trying to sneak into an R-rated movie.”

Billie joked in her monologue that her childhood dream was to be in a movie, but that dream “died” after her mother wrote a script in which she cast herself and Billie’s brother Finneas, not Billie. Then Billie’s mother took the stage, wearing a sweatshirt with Finneas’ face on it.

The singer also talked about how happy she was for her upcoming 20th birthday. “It takes time and effort to accept who you really are,” Billie said. “You’ll be so happy that you did. I spent a lot of years pretending to be somebody that I’m not, basically acting.”

Billie appeared in a few holiday-themed skits throughout the show, including a “Lonely Christmas” commercial and a “Hip Hop Nativity” sketch in which she wore a feathered ’80s-style wig. She did some singing and indicated that despite her acting ambitions having “died” when she was a child, she could hold her own with the SNL team.

Billie also played two songs from her new album, Happier Than Ever, including the title track, which she sang alone before joining her band for the song’s climax. She also sang “Male Fantasy” while sitting on the floor with Finneas on guitar and dressed in a sweatshirt, shorts, and socks.

Billie Eilish knows how to deal with haters.

In a video posted to TikTok on Monday, July 12, the 19-year-old singer hit back at her naysayers. “Is it just me or is Billie in her flop era like why does she suck now…” read one of the harsh comments Eilish shared with her fans.

The “bad guy” singer then replied with her own message. “This app is literally all I see,” she captioned the video. “Eat my dust, my t-ts are bigger than yours.”

Oh, and what’s that song playing in the video’s background? That’s  “NDA,” Billie Eilish’s latest single. And, in case her haters weren’t paying attention, the accompanying music video has already racked up over 11.6 million views on YouTube.

This isn’t Eilish’s first encounter with trolls. Indeed, she admitted to BBC Breakfast that she stopped checking Instagram comments last year as it was “ruining my life.”

Eilish expressed her feelings, saying, “It’s weird. Like, the cooler the things you get to do are, the more people hate you. It’s crazy.”

Despite this, the artist is not letting her haters drag her down.

Her new album, Happier Than Ever, is set to be released on July 30. And, as the title implies, she is happy with her life.

During a May interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Billie Eilish said, “I hated every aspect of fame. I didn’t want any of it. I wanted a normal life.” 

“I wanted this, I wanted this, I wanted this, and all I did was complain. And then it manifested. It just got to a place where I’m happy now and I feel confident in it. And it’s dope. It’s so nice to just feel differently,” she added.

Her haters can go see her seven Grammys if they have anything else to say.

With a cool, Hot Girl Summer kiss-off, Billie Eilish dumps her former beau in “Lost Cause.”

The 19-year-old pop sensation launched her new track and music video for “Lost Cause” on Wednesday (June 2). Happier Than Ever is Eilish’s upcoming sophomore album, and the song is the fourth single from it.

In the song, Billie sings about an ex-boyfriend who was meant to be there for her on a particular day but wasn’t.

Here’s a short snippet of the song’s lyrics:

“You weren’t even there that day

I was waitin’ on you (You, you)

I wonder if you were aware that day

I sent you flowers

Did you even care?

You ran to shower

And left them by the stairs.”

Eilish admits in the lyrics that she believed her boyfriend had his “s**t together,” but she was mistaken. He’s a lost cause, she says, and their relationship “ain’t nothing like it once was,” she adds, noting that he doesn’t even have an actual job.

Fans have assumed since the song’s debut that it was based on Eilish’s ex-boyfriend, Q (a.k.a. Brandon Adams, better known as the rapper 7: AMP), who was referenced in the singer’s Apple TV+ documentary.

In Billie Eilish’s Apple TV+ film, there are a few instances when her boyfriend at the time, Brandon Quention Adam, either didn’t show up or came extremely late to events Billie invited him to. It’s probable that the pre-chorus references to that.

Eilish stated in the documentary that she “just wasn’t happy” in the relationship.

Eilish said in the film that “I didn’t want the same things he wanted and I don’t think that’s fair for him. I don’t think you should be in a relationship super excited about things that the other person couldn’t care less about. And there was just a lack of effort, I think. I literally was just like, ‘Dude, you don’t even have enough love to love yourself, you can’t love me. And you don’t. Like, you think you do.'”

Eilish even admitted to feeling “lonely” and “miserable” during Valentine’s Day, as per Insider.

Adams addressed their split in an Instagram Story in March 2021.

“There’s always 2 sides to a situation,” he wrote, further stating that he was going through a lot at that time, including his brothers’ death. “Sometimes people disagree and don’t want the same things as one another. It’s on you to understand there’s several points of view to a situation.”

‘As It Was’ is the first glimpse of harry Styles’ upcoming third studio album, ‘Harry’s House,’ which he announced with a teaser video last month. It will be released on May 20th, following the release of ‘Fine Line’ in 2019.

Yesterday (April 2), Spotify reported that the single has become the most-streamed song in the United States in a single day, breaking Olivia Rodrigo’s previous record with her hit ‘Drivers License.’

According to Billboard, ‘As It Was’ received 8.3 million streams in a single day, breaking the previous record of 8 million streams held by ‘Drivers License.’

Styles’ new song is also the most-streamed song worldwide on Spotify in a single day for 2022, with 21.6 million streams, surpassing Anitta’s ‘Envolver,’ which had 8.6 million single-day streams in March.

In an interview with Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up, Styles said, “I feel very lucky that this is the proudest I’ve been of something that I’ve made so far. I feel the most comfortable I’ve been with myself and happiest with what I’m making.”

Tanu Muino, a Ukrainian filmmaker, directed the accompanying music video, which was shot in London. For the video, Styles wears a red sequined leotard while performing diverse choreography, all while being pulled away from a woman wearing a blue version of Style’s costume.

The former One Direction member recently announced more UK and European stadium dates for his ‘Love On Tour.’ The increased demand for more concerts followed a spike of demand that overwhelmed Ticketmaster’s website in January.

Tate McRae has revealed that she has completed her long-awaited debut studio album and teased a new single.

Last year, the rising Canadian artist released the EP ‘Too Young To Be Sad’ and has teased her first album with her 2021 single ‘Feel Like Shit’ and the latest ‘She’s All I Wanna Be,’ co-written by Greg Kurstin.

McRae seemed to confirm this week on Twitter that the album is finally complete.

“I just handed in the official track list for my album oh my,” she tweeted before previewing an unreleased song called ‘Chaotic,’ which listeners can now pre-save.

Tate McRae said of her debut album last year, “I like to try to analyze structures of different albums and see what kind mine might be similar to,” citing the labyrinthine structure on Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde,’ as well as The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours,’ and Billie Eilish’s debut ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go.’

“The cool thing about ‘Blonde’,” she explained, “is that I don’t think I’ve heard one song that sounds anything the same to him and, you know, the cool part is it kind of just makes you want to push yourself.”

McRae also discussed the expectations she’s faced since the release of her debut single, ‘One Day,’ in 2017.

“I just want to work as hard as I can to live up to my own expectations and everyone else’s,” she explained. “I guess it’s a bit of pressure but if you put your head down and work at it, you can kind of ignore those outside feelings of anxiety and stress. It’s just about indulging in your work and making sure that you’re doing the best that you can at all times. “

Tate McRae will also be touring the UK this summer before releasing her debut album.

Brad Pitt is officially starting a new career in the music industry.

After a thorough redesign, the 57-year-old actor has partnered with Emmy-winning music producer Damien Quintard to revive Miraval Studios, the iconic recording facility situated at Château Miraval in Correns, France, that has held sessions for Pink Floyd, Sting, and The Cranberries.

The music studio, constructed in 1977 by Château Miraval’s then-owner Jacques Loussier, went unused for two decades until Pitt and Quintard decided to restore it to allow artists to record new material.

Quintard told The Hollywood Reporter via a Zoom conversation that he and Pitt “immediately clicked” when they met in Paris.

He remembered, “It was an intense moment where we just talked and talked about sound.  I was amazed at how sensitive and precise he was in his analysis of music.”

Much of the studio’s old recording equipment will be incorporated into a modern setting, including a desk created by Pitt and Quintard. It will also include multiple recording booths, sound and video editing workstations, rare musical instruments and synthesizers, and a mezzanine overlooking the whole studio.

The facility, according to Quintard, has “redefined a remarkable natural reverb so we can record voices or instruments anywhere in the studio. It really is a space where you can produce anything from pop and rock, to hip-hop and classical records.”

The studio is connected to a tower that can accommodate visiting musicians, so artists are never far from their work and may spend weeks on the site recording their next masterpiece. Access to the estate’s swimming pool and meals from Château Miraval’s chefs are also provided.

Château Miraval is a property near to Pitt’s heart, as fans know. The Oscar winner bought the estate in 2012 with then-partner Angelina Jolie, and the two married in the estate’s chapel in 2014.

Even though Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split in 2016, he still owns the estate, which is known for its on-site vineyard.

“The combination of Brad’s vision for Miraval and our common passion for taking the time to make simple but beautiful things has resulted in something that is one-of-a-kind,” Quintard said. “We are so excited for musicians of all types to be a part of what we’ve created.”

Miraval Studios will officially open in the summer of 2022.
